I wasn’t quite sure which board to post this on. The MyEbay board seemed to make sense, but I also wanted to pose this question here, since in most of my time spent lurking I have probably learned the most from this board.

I was going looking at my favorite seller list to see if anyone had listed anything new, and came across a seller I did not remember adding. I clicked to view their listings, and got a message that said the User ID does not exist.

What is going on? Was this another phishing scam? I am very careful about spoof emails and have never clicked a link, but I never thought that one would just appear in my sellers list.

So can anyone tell me if they think it could be phishing, or just something else completely weird? Has this happened to anyone else?

I’ve just never heard of a nonexistent seller just popping up on your list. It looked pretty real, had feedback and a ME page and items for sale on half.com and all that. I googled the name, and got a LiveJournal account that did have that userID listed as her ebay name, but it was from 2003.I have a lot of favorites. Some are NARU now. Their ME page and everything is still there, they’re just no longer a member.
