Research

Clothing February 18th, 2007

As a school librarian, research is in my blood. And I find those research skills very useful and profitable on Ebay. Any time I’m considering listing anything on Ebay I spend time researching. First I try to find out if anyone else is selling a similar items. I take note of what the starting bid is, the category it is listed under, how long the auction is running for and what the shipping charge is. Then I place the item in my “watch list”. I monitor the item….I check periodically how many hits the listing is getting, how many bids and what the item finally sold for. That often gives me an ideas as to whether I list my item or donate it to charity. In addition, it saves me time because after the item sells there is an option for “sell a similar item”. I use that to list my item and it already has the category set up for you.
